Oct 2021: Incredible journey - Since June 2016, Life Underground was shot in 19 cities around the world (Montreal, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Tokyo, Santiago, Vienna, Lausanne, Marseille, Helsinki, Stockholm, Singapore, Taipei, Düsseldorf, Warsaw, Los Angeles). After a worldwide release online, many festivals, awards and a few immersive installations (Los Angeles, South by Southwest, DocEdge Festival, National Museum of Singapore), Life Underground is invited by the prestigious MUCEM in Marseille, France, from Oct. 2021 to March 2023. Then Life Underground will be shown at the World Expo in Dubai in Nov. 2021.

June 2016: Great news! LIFE UNDERGROUND is taking off. 1st stop: Montreal. Then Madrid, Bruxelles, Paris, Lausanne, Berlin, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Santiago de Chile, and many more cities to come. Check out the presentation website.
April 2016: The feature narrative Ayiti Mon Amour, directed by Guetty Felin, that I produced and shot is being featured at the Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam and will be doing it's US Premiere at the San Francisco International Film Festival. The shows are on April 23rd and April 28th at the Alamo Drafthouse, Mission Street, San Francisco.
Sept. 15th 2015. Shoot in Paris with my brother Renaud Cohen on his new doc project. More soon...
July/August 2015. Last shoot/last episode of Time For School series. Incredible shoot and moving experience in Benin where I reconnected with Nanavi. She is an adult now, has a newborn boy called Fortuné and is being trained to be a photographer and videographer! Check the NewsHour on PBS in Sept. for the latest updates on the Time For School protagonists. The full length documentary will be completed at a later date for sure, since the funds have been secured.

Feb. 2014. Back from France where I shot a doc with my brother Renaud, for French TV on immigrant hairdressers in Paris. Great encounters with bosses and clients. These little very inexpensive beauty parlors are spreading all over Paris. Their owners, immigrants mainly from North Africa but also Sri Lanka and India use their skills and traditional knowhow to execute well performed haircuts, while engaging conversation with their clients about their countries and so much more...
April 28th: Back from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The "test shoot" in the metros turned into a real shoot. And chance encounters underground, into strong characters! Next stops: New York and Paris...
April 2013: Off to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to jump start the project "Life Underground" in the subways of the 2 cities.
April 2013: The company "Art.com" just launched their Spring campaign with a series of 6 videos that I produced, titled "Shop by Room".
March 2013: The documentary "Amazon Gold" that I shot, won best documentary at the "Peace on Earth" festival and Best Short Film at "Films for the Forest" at the South by South West festival.
January 2013: The San Francisco Film Society just endorsed my documentary and transmedia project "Life Underground" and became my official Fiscal Sponsor. More on SFFS website.
More September news: I am honored to be a resident of the San Francisco Film Society!!! As such, I have the privilege to have been granted a great work space on Fillmore street that I share with other filmmakers.
Sept/Oct. "Room to Breathe" shot in San Francisco last year will have its world premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival on Oct. 11th and 14th.

September 2012: "Broken Stones", shot in Haiti in 2011 was shown at Caribbean Tales in the Toronto Film Festival and is being shown at the Trinidad Film Festival.
